Heidi L. Toboni has spent fifteen years in development, marketing and branding within the publishing industry, beginning with her first freelance job at Ave Maria Press while still an undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame. There, she became the youngest candidate ever to gain acceptance to the prestigious Denver Publishing Institute. She also interned in Notre Dame's Office of Public Relations and studied abroad in London. She spent thirteen years at a leading religious trade publisher, Loyola Press, serving as Dir. of Trade Marketing, Dir. of Business Development, and Sr. New Product Developer. She was co-marketer for the NYT bestseller, The Gift of Peace by Joseph Cardinal Bernardin; created award-winning Web sites; and performed developmental writing and editing on numerous books, including the 2008 Eric Hoffer Award winner, How Big Is Your God?. In January 2008 she launched HeLT Consulting & Services, Inc. Heidi is also an avid student of Tai Chi and Taoist meditation, a proponent and sponsor of Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) and enjoys adventure traveling, gardening, foreign cinema, and reading.

The toonie is a bi-metallic coin which on the reverse side bears an image of a polar bear by artist Brent Townsend. The obverse, like all other current Canadian circulation coins, has a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. It has the words ELIZABETH II / D.G.
