Photography is catching the moment. Sometimes that moment stays still for you, other times it's gone right after the shutter closes again. It feels terrible to miss that moment - you don't have your camera, you don't turn it on in time, the focus is all wrong, lighting is shit. But then those instances when you do capture the moment...when the light goes through the lens just at the right time and you have managed not to muck up the simplest of adjustments. That moment becomes memory and art and that's what you shoot for. I'm not a pro, I just like taking my camera with me wherever I go as often as possible (which is not often enough).
