I'm the guy who wishes he had an uncle working as an exec at a major film studio, that way I'd have that fabled "access" to what I should really be doing with my life: writing mediocre to decent films that either go straight to DVD or soon after hitting the local multiplex! In other words, I'm a bitter screenwriter with no access, no real connections, and no money. But I've watched way too many films (some way too much) to let that bitterness wipe out the love I have for films, both good and bad. I've also seen the "man behind the curtain" as it pertains to the filmmaking process--an MFA in screenwriting will quickly jade even the most green newbie, lemme tell ya! Right now I teach Mass Media classes at Northwest Vista College and Screenwriting classes at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. In the meantime, I plan on getting to those script rewrites I've been putting off as well as a few new script ideas I've been chewing on for awhile. But all in good time...
