I have seventeen years of professional experience as a public and private school English educator. Focusing on both composition and literature, I took great pleasure in exposing young adults to their untapped potential and developing an appreciation for both their own literary voice and the voices of known and unknown authors. In addition, I supervised a dormitory of 35 young men from around the world, helping them maintain their rooms, their attitudes, and their choices. After a brief career change working at Aflac, I returned to the classroom in a substitute capacity. I felt pulled in this direction because I still felt a great deal of satisfaction working with young people, helping them develop and reach goals, and assisting them in finding a positive path to direct their lives. After all the twists and turns my path has taken, it has led me to a customer care/public relations position at Spiral Path Farm. My official title is CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Assistant, and I wear many hats. To prepare for the end of the farming season, I am also teaching a composition course at Harrisburg Area Community College.
