Barbara devotes her professional life to issues concerning women. She has written for the New York Times Magazine, Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Parents, Ms, Working Woman & Ladies Home Journal. Her extensive television appearances include the CBS Morning Show, CNN, the Donahue Show & Oprah. She has taught at Sarah Lawrence College, Yale Medical School, Columbia University, the Academy of Medicine, and the Horace Mann School.
