My books, what a pity, survive my eager grasp with stains so yellow the pages appear moist, lined with ink from whatever pen was nearest, and dreadfully dog-eared (perhaps the greatest mistreatment). I enjoy reading a sentence repeatedly to see beautiful letters form beautiful words that form beautiful ideas.
