Biography Entrepreneurship Fanatic, Political Junkie, Founder of Natasha's Court N*C (Sustainable Workforce Solutions)I am a creative, inspiring executive who can manage staff and vendors, build bridges and maximize talent across generations in diverse, entrepreneurial environments. I look forward to using my talent to create comprehensive, inexpensive solutions that keep workers in jobs that support a growing, evolving economy. Towards that end, I recently founded Natasha's Court (N*C), America's most innovative workforce development startup. So you have your own company. Nice. It must pay well!It doesn't pay at all at the moment I am available for consulting in corporate communications and people strategy for high-growth companies through N*C and/or Kindness Plaza. An ideal full-time position would take advantage of my immersion in the startup community as business development manager who is smart enough to keep up in complicated conversations about technology. Okay, so that's the work. What do you do when you are just being a person?What? Wait, there's more? Kidding! When I am not doing any of those things (and sometimes when I am, if it works!) I like to compose and perform semi-improvised vocal soundscapes using a looping machine. Sometimes I sing in lesser-known languages. I love the arts, culture, and pretty much anything that involves rooftops, the water, or just relaxing outdoors. Dancing (badly) to pop music is probably my guilty pleasure. But work is very much a part of what I enjoy in life. I am obsessed by politics and entrepreneurs. Shameless geek in that area.That said, there may be a crowd-funded art and/or software project somewhere in there. Why found a workforce development startup when e-commerce and mobile application businesses are so sexy? They are pretty exciting, and I am immersed in the startup world regardless, which is pretty terrific. But I enjoy working on nontraditional projects that engage emerging best practices in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, and stakeholder relations. I have developed and implemented integrated marketing and creative projects for a city-wide festival in New York and political actions in Washington. My early experience as an entrepreneur includes working as a subcontractor for government service providers in New York City. I provided consulting services in under-served communities including children with special needs, homeless adults, and education professionals for eight years. I also contributed as panel member and recruiter for the first New York City Symposium for Social Change: Building Businesses That Impact Our World, sponsored by The Hatchery, the Wall Street Journal, the Foundation for Social Change, and the New York City Economic Development Corporation. I also collaborated with long-term unemployed professionals to plan and facilitate their first 21st Century Forum with the New York State Labor Commissioner, key members of the Commissioner's staff, and senior agency administrators from the New York City Department of Small Business Services. Zzzzz. Oops, sorry! Okay, everyone has a resume these days, so back to N*C. Why YOU? Why not just follow music? The music sounds really cool!Yes, I do have a few passions and talents. To put it differently, I have marketable skills that are not being utilized, and I know professionals all over the United States experiencing the same thing. That is how I know that using technology to help workers make effective transitions during this uncertain time is the passion that needs my attention right now. I am a proud GenX-er and a graduate of Amherst College  with a history of civically oriented work. I am not sure if there is anyone else with the 360-degree perspective that I bring to this problem. I have yet to meet anyone who can match the blend of opportunities, business perspective, personal struggles, patience, or courage to tackle 21st Century unemployment in such an accountable way.
