Her background includes years as a court reporter, legal assistant and court specialist in the court systems of Alabama. She is a trained volunteer mediator for her local Small Claims Court, a volunteer computer instructor for Christian Womens Job Corp, calls bingo at the assisted living facility where her mother lives, and volunteers for United Way and Tennessee Valley Family Services.
