Not able to find the resources that she was looking for, she wrote the first book on the subject. It remains a bestseller in its category. In her upcoming book, What Color is Your Handbag?, she takes her nearly three decades of knowledge and wisdom running money into the women's market in an attempt to crack the money code and communicate the language of finance so that every woman "gets" money. She explores money through the filters of gender, personality and behavior using an arts-based approach to teaching financial concepts. Passionate about the arts, she serves as a town- appointed member of the Ridgefield Arts Council and has served on a number of arts-related boards. She is Editor-at-Large for ARTES Magazine, which celebrates fine art and design. Founder of ARTES Advisory, she connects finance + art with collectors, dealers and preferred vendors as a registered investment professional working in the high net worth space. Her own work, paintings known for their vivid use of color and impressionistic sense of form, are  commissioned by private collectors.  She is Founder of the women's networking group at New York City's Cornell Club and is Co-Founder of Women in Power. Both groups hope to mentor women across industry sectors and to "encourage, equip and empower women to personal, professional and philanthropic excellence."Carolina Fernandez can be reached at: [email protected] or at 203.942.8282   read more ...
