Born in Vandenberg A.F.B. California, I grew up understanding the importance of our men and women who protect our Constitution. Married with four children I understand the importance of family time. While my entire family is involved in scuba diving and target shooting, my oldest daughter is competing for her chance to be invited to the U.S. National Development Team. This is her first step to earning her chance to be on the U.S. Olympic rifle team. I spend countless hours working with her and her coach. This gratification in target shooting with my children has influenced me in starting new youth shooting programs in Mohave County. I have served our country on two deployments with the Army National Guard: one in Bosnia on a peacekeeping mission to restore stability and bring peace to a troubled nation. The other was a combat deployment to Afghanistan where I got a quick understanding of the oppression these people were but under from the Taliban’s concept of government. I received the Combat Infantry Badge and multiple awards while serving on foreign soil. My job in Afghanistan was to train the Afghanistan National Army in Russian Artillery. This was one of the toughest jobs I have ever attempted to complete. I fulfilled my mission with the assistance of the Mongolian Army and local interpreters. This artillery training program has been used in both Afghanistan and Iraq. While serving our country I took no strong political sides, understanding my oath that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I will obey the orders of the President of the United States. I felt honor in the oath I took and would follow it to the letter even if it meant the ultimate sacrifice to defend. After returning home and successfully dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). I finial have the understanding that while I stood to defend our Constitution from foreign enemies, myself along with the majority of Americans have been blindsided by domestic enemies in Washington. These enemies who sit the seats in Washington our attacking our Constitution with the bills they push. The very injustices these enemies are inflecting on our nation are destroying the core values on which our country was founded. I am committed to spending my life following the dreams that formed this great nation and stand as a voice of not one but a voice of many.
