I started my journey as a Commercial Banker during the 90's in Chicago (with First Chicago--now Bank One); when I analyzed and lent to small and middle market companies. For a brief period of time I worked specifically with Minority and Women owned businesses in the area. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education (along with my wife who is in my cohort), in Instructional Technology, at Duquesne University. I have several interest areas which I am narrowing down to a thesis: 1.) Communities of Practice, 2.) Technological applications of computing technology to males at-risk and/or 3.) Applications of learning communities to populations at risk. I have put off taking the CPA Exam now until I have completed this degree. Prior to Duquesne I finished my undergraduate degree in Finance at Wharton (University of Pennsylvania) and my MBA at Syracuse University. I have also completed some graduate level seminary as well as enough additional coursework to sit for the CPA Exam. As you can see, I really enjoy education. I hope that comes out in my teaching!read more ...read less ...
