My name is Christine. I am a transplanted Tejana queer Femme living in the great state of California, San Leandro to be exact. I work as a technogeek gawdess by day. And at night....I run a nightclub called Velvet (www.velvetoakland.com). I have a deep and sincere love for my community whether it be the Butch/Femme, Femme, LGBT or Latino community. I am an activist at heart and a true believer in bringing all types of people together. I am one of the co-founders of the Femme Collective and the Conference Co-Chair of Femme2010 (www.femmecollective.com). I was the Conference Coordinator for Femme2006 and currently conference co-chair of the Femmes of Color Symposium happening in New Orleans in 2010.
