I am an Assistant Professor and Statistician in the School of Computer Science at the University of Guelph, and co-founder of the Farm To Fork open source solution to improving food quality and quantity donated to emergency food service providers. I completed my Ph.D. thesis in , and have worked on several multidisciplinary teams with a public health assessment or natural resource management focus since then. I have collaborated with the Public Health Agency of Canada, Statistics Canada, Health Canada, Environment Canada, B.C. Cancer Agency, the Government of Brazil, the Saugeen Ojibway First Nations, McGill University, Laurentian University, and numerous departments within the University of Guelph. Currently I am researching statistical methods for modelling populations with application to ecological risk assessment, and testing existing sampling design used to estimate population level parameters. I'm also working to improve the delivery of several upper year undergraduate courses in the School of Computer Science by introducing real-world problems and community-engaged scholarship.
