Daniel Ross-Jones is communications director for the Greater Milwaukee Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and synod correspondent for The Lutheran magazine.Mr. Ross-Jones is a 2006 graduate of Carthage College with studies in communication, political science and religion. While at Carthage, he was editor-in-chief of The Current student newspaper, a member of the Carthage Media Board, held leadership positions in the Carthage Chapter of Delta Upsilon International Fraternity, was a service fellow in the department of communication and digital media, involved with the campus radio station and yearbook, and sang baritone in the Carthage Choir.His work has appeared in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and the Westine Report (Union Grove, Wis.). Mr. Ross-Jones' avocational interests are travel, architecture, reading and political affairs.In January of 2005, he participated in a religious study tour of northwestern India, follwed in January of 2006 with a musical tour of England, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. Personal travels have taken Mr. Ross-Jones throughout the United States and Canada, and soon to Australia and New Zealand for the beginning of the Australian summer.He is currently working on both book and interactive projects studying issues of poverty, under- and unemployment in rural and exurban areas.Mr. Ross-Jones lives in Milwaukee. read more ...
