In 2005 I took some time to clarify my personal vision, mission, and goals in garden-variety midlife form. As part of that process, I realized that the things I read are gone from my memory the next day. However, if I write a critical summary of what I've read, what I've read seems to lock into my memory and remain accessible. So I began to write summary reviews of my reading. Only later did it occur to me that some of this might be of benefit to Amazon readers. So began my adventure as an Amazon.com reviewer I serve as the President and CEO of Overseas Council (www.overseas.org). This amazing organization supports the training of an emerging generation of Christian leaders. We serve them by partnering in various ways with theological seminaries in sixty-two countries. My friends tell me my interests are eclectic. I find nearly everything and everybody interesting. I am a pastor-teacher by gifting and wiring, a biblical scholar by training, and an executive by a process I fail to understand. My wife Linda and I will celebrate 25 years of marriage in 2008. We have two fantastic sons in college. I survive each day because of the morning-by-morning renewal of my Creator's grace. read more ...
