Sometimes, the favicon isn't anti-aliased. I make sure that some of the pixels on the edges of things are see-through so that it looks nicer. Now the favicon looks nicer Oh, and I also write a lot of code for the browser platform (and have even worked for a browser vendor). And I've worked in web application security too.
