David was born in Bogot, Colombia, and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating high school he attended Columbia College Chicago and graduated May with a B.A. in Cinematography. Two of David's films (Sketch, Masquerade) were exhibited at the .EDU Film Festival in Minneapolis, MN in , and he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship at Columbia College Chicago in . Recently, a film David shot, Illuminated, was exhibited at the Cannes Film Festival.
