David Glover was born in Indiana and has lived throughout the US, most recently in Boulder, CO. After graduating from the US Naval Academy, he spent two years as a nuclear submarine officer before hearing these fateful words, "I am sorry, but you have cancer." Following radiation and surgery, David formulated a new goal: finish a triathlon to prove to himself that he had beaten the cancer. Since his first triathlon in 1995, he's now finished 100+ races including 28 Ironman-distance events, winning five of them outright and achieving a personal best time of 8 hr 51 min. His stories about the Navy, cancer, failed relationships and becoming an elite level triathlete are captured in his book: Full Time and Sub-Nine, published in 2006 by Rainmaker Publishing. That same year, he took a leap of faith and left his corporate cubical to pursue a new career centered around his passions for triathlon, writing and helping others become ELITE - i.e. "best in class" - in what they do.,A portfolio entrepreneur, I enjoy endurance sports, writing, climbing and doing cool stuff...,Exercise Physiology,Computer Science,Engineering Management read more ...
