He previously studied composition at the University of Oregon with with Rob Kyr and David Crumb. His enthusiasm for experimentation and his broad musical background lead him to compose mesmerizing and ethereal scores that are accessible without bending to pop conventions. As an accomplished pianist and improviser, David is able to quickly compose, record, and produce music for orchestra, electronics, small ensembles, and solo instruments. As a compassionate collaborator, David and an artillery of highly skilled musicians is able to provide music that takes your project over the top, whether it be for commercial use, film, or the concert stage. Davids work is both gorgeous and rigorous, challenging and pleasure-giving.
