Welcome to The Boise Blog, my own blog about the adventures, trials and tribulations of a 22 year old, young man's relocation across The U.S. to finish school and make serious headway toward his goals and aspirations. Things for you the bloggerreader expect are weekly updates about near anything in my life such as interesting stories and interesting people i've come across on my travels, while giving my not so professional opinions on sports, music and even dip a toe into the political pool every now and again. To give everyone an update and let everyone catch up I'll start off by saying i'm 22, just moved out here from Pittsburgh, Pa. I was raised in Reading, Pa home to Latino on Latino crime, Shopping centers, conservatives, the famous Reading Outlets and of course Jon and Kate(from the hit TLC reality show Jon and Kate plus 8.) All reasons for my relocation to Pittsburgh post graduation where I made some of the closest friends and met some of the best people a man can ask for, was burglarized on several occasions, did some of the dumbest things of my life while also doing some of the funnest and realized what I didn't want my life to become. I left Pittsburgh because Pittsburgh left me, the honeymoon was over. The reality of the mundane week where Steeler Sundays were the only thing getting you through the bitter winter and the unrelenting ignorance of the average urbanite on a daily basis, destroyed the relationship. I've been called an old man before by some and never was really ashamed, in fact almost proud. However as I was driving through the breadbasket of the country and western plains with nothing but time to ponder I finally came to realize it wasn't my personality that naturally made me an old man. It was the hustle, bustle and the witnessing of the never ending rat race which exhausted me beyond my years. Driving me out of the city, like some awkward semblance of Thoreau or Jack London mixed with the man who sleeps in a million dollar recreational vehicle on a queen bed with plasma tv's so he can keep kept up with Jon and Kate all while calling it "roughing it in the great outdoors". Hopefully my time in Boise can show me some medium, humble me to society and distinguish the line between the rat race and Thoreau.
