My foundation is based on the solid trade of an Avionic Aviation Technician (electrical), after which I have been in IT support in one form or another for years, progressing from a Workshop Technician to an IT Account Manager overseeing a team of technicians supporting our clients in the greater Cape Town area. More recently, during , I have been sailing - doing deliveries as crew on sailing yachts. I enjoyed the longer distance deliveries. Over the last few years I have studied and been involved in Trauma Counselling and found this to be incredibly rewarding. My long-term objective is to join a vibrant and stable company or group of therapists with which I could perform various types of counselling and become an integral part of their public service team. My goal is to study toward a BPsych and become a counselling psychologist through UNISA (University of South Africa) via distance education within the next five years. I have an interest in EAP, NLP, Traumatology, Existentialism and Logotherapy and I intend studying and working with each to bring them together over time.
