--ABOUT ME-- As a journalist, I have worked for mainstream organizations and currently focus on politics and religion, writing hard news and commentary. My passion is reaching others through writing, photography and video, and I have a talent for helping other writers improve their craft. I have won multiple awards for my writing and editing and am skilled promoting my work through social media. --BACKGROUND-- My e-book "The Easy Budget How to Always Have the Money You Need," under the pseudonym Owen Tew, helps people struggling to stay on a budget during difficult economic times, and my photography is sold at a local art gallery. I have just finished a historical book on my hometown and a documentary film on a local historical re-enactor that is currently on the film festival circuit. Volunteer work I am the past-president of in my local historical society and created the group's online presence and logo. I also am a past member of the Oktoberfest Board of Directors. I have played the drums in church, run a television camera and been a radio DJ. --PERSONAL-- While I embrace the new, I love anything old. I live in my great-grandparents' farmhouse and drive a restored Chevy pickup truck. Sometimes I even write using my Underwood No. typewriter.
