BIO: Greg Wurgler is currently the VP of Sales & Marketing at Thermtrol Corporation, a manufacturer of electrical switches, wire harness assemblies, plastic injection molding items and contract electro-mechanical assembly work serving OEM appliance, automobile, and industrial equipment manufacturers around the world. Greg directs the global sales function from the North Canton, Ohio headquarters overseeing offices from Chicago to Hong Kong, for product made at Thermtrolâ€™s principal manufacturing sites in Vietnam and suburban Chicago. Architecture, travel, neighborhoods, and American automotive/industrial history are notable interests. The latter is supported by Gregâ€™s advisory business development involvement in his familyâ€™s 20 year old automobile restoration parts manufacturing company, First Place Auto Products, of Canton. His travel interests are met by demands at Thermtrol where heâ€™s been fortunate enough to visit more than 20 countries with multiple trips to the Far East. A recent interest in fitness resulted in Greg finishing several marathons. Gregâ€™s formal education includes a BSBA in Supply Chain & Operations Management from Bowling Green State University (â€™93) and a MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University (â€™03). As resident of Akron, Ohio since 1997, Greg has been active in the West Hill Neighborhood Organization (WHNO) for the past 6 years. He served 4 years as Chair of the Membership & Communications committee and now serves as a member of the Executive Committee. In January, 2009, Greg began service on the Business Advisory Council of the Akron Public Schools as well as Advisory Board capacity of the Wire Harness Manufacturers Association.
