I am a French historian who has taught European history as a visiting instructor at New York University and Cooper Union and has taught World History and Global Studies -- in French -- at the Lycee Francais de New York. My work as an independent scholar focuses on the Resistance in Vichy France and the Empire (see my article in "French Politics, Culture Society," v. , #, summer ). I also tutor AP European History, AP World History, and AP French. I conceptualized and organized a conference, held at Columbia University's Maison Francaise, that broke new ground on the study of Jewish Rescue in France. The conference papers were published in "French Politics, Culture Society." I combined my love of history, teaching, and digital publishing as an editor at the Electronic Publishing Initiative at Columbia University and at Gale Cengage Learning. I managed content acquisition, digitized archives, and developed curricula materials for the use of scholars, teachers, and students. Several of these online educational databases won national awards, received outstanding reviews, or were licensed by prominent organizations such as the College Board (see CAHO below). I love creating and disseminating historical scholarship (in French and English) to a variety of audiences, from scholars to the general public, using online resources, organizing conferences and seminars, leading workshops and focus groups, as well as writing marketing materials and doing outreach at conferences. My teaching, writing, editing, and public speaking skills, developed while working in academia and publishing, as well as my bilingual and administrative skills, developed while working in French institutions are transferable across industries.
