Female, 36 years old

Janice Lee is a writer, artist, editor, designer, curator, and scholar. She is the author of KEROTAKIS (Dog Horn Press, ), Daughter (Jaded Ibis, ), and Damnation (Penny-Ante Editions, ). She also has several chapbooks Red Trees, Fried Chicken Dinner (ParrotInsert Press, ), The Other Worlds (Eohippus Labs, ), and The Transparent As Witness (Solar Luxuriance, ), a collaboration with Will Alexander. She holds a BA in LiteratureWriting (with minors in Biological Anthropology Film Studies) from UCSD and an MFA in Creative WritingCritical Studies from CalArts and currently lives in Los Angeles where she is Co-Editor of the online journal out of nothing, Co-Founder of the interdisciplinary arts organization Strophe (which houses the curated series Novum), Reviews Editor at HTMLGIANT, Editor of the new #RECURRENT Novel Series for Jaded Ibis Press, Executive Editor of Entropy, and FounderCEO of POTG Design. She also curates the LA Literary Calendar (a calendar of literary events in Los Angeles) with Harold Abramowitz. Recently, she was selected by John DAgata as Black Warrior Reviews Nonfiction Grand Prize Winner and she currently teaches Interface Culture Graphic Texts at the California Institute of the Arts and in the LiteratureWriting Department at the University of California - San Diego (UCSD).
