His works have appeared in such publications as Equal Justice Magazine, The Louisville Review, Paste, Appalachian Heritage and Kentucky Living, and his commentary has appeared on NPR. He is the nonfiction editor of Still: The Journal, and a James Still Fellow at the University of Kentucky.
