Mr. Lang has been with The SGL Group since March 2003. Early in his career with The SGL Group, Mr. Lang functioned as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. This role required him to be accountable for timely and full delivery of Lean, DFSS, and DMAIC projects, benefits and costs, communications, and senior leadership project reviews. During this same time, Mr. Lang was also responsible for setting the vision for improvement objectives, as well as performing process and statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities. Since January 2011, Mr. Lang’s primary focus has been two-fold: 1) Manage and grow key customers within the Graphite and Materials Systems Business Unit. Mr. Lang currently manages one of the largest customers for The SGL Group within this Business Unit. 2) Manage The SGL Group’s domestic nuclear graphite portfolio in alignment with the Department of Energy’s Next Generation Nuclear Plant (NGNP) project. In this role, he works closely with the Department of Energy, National Laboratories, Universities and private vendors assisting with nuclear reactor design work with respect to nuclear graphite materials. Mr. Lang also represents The SGL Group within the NGNP Industry Alliance. Mr. Lang holds a Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University in Marketing and Management.
