It would be tough for me to define my passion because I am interested in so many things. Growing up as an Army brat I enjoyed traveling, learning about new places, local cultures and norms, not to mention experiencing the excitement of moving everything you own, and starting out in a new place every few years. What I like to tell people I train with, or coach, is that I was never naturally good at anything. If I have one character trait that I appreciate the most, it is that I make it a point to never quit. I have been able to set long term goals for myself, by determining the formula for how others have accomplished the same goal (or similar goals) and then followed my plan to the finish. It doesnt always work out how I want it to, but I usually get pretty close. Radio My Working out on the Edge radio show is my way of combining my interest in radio, and my pursuit of staying in the best shape I can. An added benefit is, I get to talk with some of the coolest people that work in the fitness industry, not to mention the many that compete themselves in amateur events as a way of life. The show is a lot of work because I have to recruit and schedule all of my guests on my own, but there is nothing more rewarding than having a successful show. The theme of focusing on non-traditional or extreme athletes is a perfect way to combine my own need to be different with my untiring athletic pursuits.
