Jeff Carr has a passion for information strategy and is currently a Senior Manager with Earley Associates responsible for search and findability. He also lectures at Columbia University as part of the Master of Science Program in Information and Knowledge Strategy. With a wealth of experience in technology and information management, Jeff has developed a strong multi-disciplinary foundation across information architecture, content management, taxonomy, metadata and enterprise search. He specializes in user-centered information design by employing a holistic approach to problem solving and has been responsible for the strategy, development, and implementation of numerous successful initiatives both large and small and across a wide range of industries. In addition to working as a practitioner, Jeff is both an author and presenter. He has written articles for AIIMs Digital Landfill blog, KMWorld Magazine, ASIST, CMSWire and NothingButSharePoint. He has presented on webinars with the Taxonomy Community of Practice, Axceler, and the Content Wrangler, and has spoken at many conferences including SharePoint Best Practices, Intelligent Content, Taxonomy Boot Camp, the ICE Conference and for the SLA. Consulting engagements include projects for the Alberta Government, Bed Bath Beyond, Best Buy, Cabelas, JC Penney, Walmart, Applied Materials, Ball Corporation, PCL Construction, Alberta Motor Association, Ford Foundation, Huawei Technologies, ICBC, Jack in the Box, Jackson Laboratory and QVC.
