I have over ten years of progressive experience designing highway bridges and transportation structures for the Florida Department of Transportation, the City of Jacksonville, the Nevada Department of Transportation, the Missouri Department of Transportation, the Indiana Department of Transportation, the Minnesota Department of Transportation, and the Washington State Department of Transportation, along with Private Developers. I have been responsible for the design of precast/prestressed beams, steel plate girders, flat slab bridges, end bents and piers, as well as several timber pedestrian bridges. I have also designed a number of retaining walls, including CIP cantilever retaining walls, gravity walls, soil nail walls, soldier pile walls and sheet pile walls. I have also been responsible for the design of mast arms, and overhead and span sign structures. I have authored several bridge development reports as well as the structures portion of an FHWA pilot study on Bridges With Unknown Foundations. I am familiar with both the AASHTO Load and Resistance Factor Design Specifications for Bridge Construction and the AASHTO Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction, as well as Load and Resistance Factor Rating. I have been a registered professional engineer in Florida since 2006. I have been an active member of ASCE since moving to Jacksonville in 2001. I have served the Jacksonville Branch as Younger Member Chairperson, Treasurer, Vice President, Webmaster, and PE Review Course Chairperson. I have served the West Coast Branch as Webmaster since 2008.
