John served as a US Naval Officer specializing in Mapping and Geographic Information Services rising to the rank of Captain. He retired in 1986 and went into the mapping industry where he consulted mostly in England. Â He has served extensively in the navigation field. Â He had a brief stint of five years in the horse industry. Â John has and is serving on numerous boards, both in the private and non-for-profit sectors. Â
