I've been into photography, in varying degrees, for about thirty years. In high school, I built a darkroom in the basement, and did a lot of black & white work. I'll never forget the smell of those yellow packages of developer/stop-bath/fix from Kodak -- and the fun of watching the image materialize under the red glow of the safe light. The digital darkroom has changed all that. It leaves us with more time for creativity behind the lens, where the real fun is.
