I hold an MA in social science (awarded with distinction with a . GPA) from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, and a BA in international studies from the University of South Carolina. I am currently involved with interdisciplinary work of a number of kinds. One of the main emphases is the study of sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, which has resulted in the publication of book reviews in web-based scholarly journals and talk-radio appearances interpreting current events in both regions. I also write English-language free verse poetry, blog and write essays, broadcast the news on Twitter nearly daily, and have published articles on churches in the Charleston SC USA area. I also advise nonprofits and governments, work with other scholars, and serve as an informal advocate for the homeless and disabled. I am beginning the study of public health in January at the Medical University of South Carolina. Hagiography continues to be of interest, particularly the lives of St. Thomas More, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and St. Katherine Drexel.read more ...read less ...
