Having worked at magazines, major metro dailies and weekly newspapers, I'm a journalist with vast and varied types of experiences. I've written local community and business news, covered national events and reviewed just about everything that could fall under 'arts and entertainment.' Currently, I work as the associate editor of The Jewish Chronicle in Pittsburgh — a weekly newspaper serving the Jewish community of Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. I also serve as the freelance music editor of Metromix Indianapolis, as well as contributing freelance writing to Billboard, Relix and the AutoPilot Magazines, Pittsburgh City Paper, My Old Kentucky Blog and assorted other outlets. I plan to continue chasing the dream of landing a full-time position at a music magazine. Sound crazy, especially in a troubled time for the industry? I know, but I've never wanted anything more. Specialties I am extremely passionate about the need for well-reported, thought-provoking journalism. My specialty has always been writing about arts and culture, specifically music, but I've a good deal of news writing as well. I count reporting, knowledge of music/art/entertainment, writing skill, copy editing, and creativity in analysis as my strong points. read more ...
