I'm looking for reciprocal Contacts and Friends. I will make you a Friend when: 1) I see nothing but decent photos in your PhotoStream; 2) You have something meaningful in your Profile; and 3) you reciprocate Friend status. I do "fun" photos of places the family and I have been, a few possibly "art" photos (hoping to do better and more), "naturalistic" photos of things I think are cool or even genuinely interesting (like piebald white-tail deer) and a few "family" photos of my kids and grandkids. All of my photos except "family" are viewable and commentable by anyone. My "family" photos are visible to Friends only. AAAAAAAACKK--Too many groups! What it is, is that I photograph so bloomin' many categories of things and want to show-off (?!) my photos in appropriate categories that I end up joining enough groups to match my photos, sheesh. Got to do it until I figure out a better way. "Eco Retread" is what I am: Changed from 30-odd years doing Internet-ish things, an environment rapidly degrading from challenge to toy shop. Changed to a Ph.D. in Ecology at The University of Georgia, Odum School of Ecology. I still have my first wife, though I'm not at all sure why she's stuck with me since 1967. We have two nifty kids: One is a Social Services Manager (MSW, passed LCSW exam) with DFCS in a nearby city and one is a conservation biologist (Ph.D.) and college instructor. I have an affinity for "greenware" that has finally surfaced after too darn many years fartzing about with hardware and software. I like nifty old farm hardware of the kind that goes "chuffa-chuffa-puff". My granddaddy was, once upon a time, Superintendent of Works ar the Aultman and Taylor company's plant in Mansfield, Ohio. I still, occasionally, do a bit of field and lab paleontology--mucking about (mostly) in the Conasauga formation in the Valley and Ridge province of NW Georgia. I have a few very nifty trilobite fossils, including at least two with still-flexible shells. I continue to chase what may be an evolutionary intermediate between askeletal cnidaria (i.e. anemone-like critters) and their calcareous-skeletal descendants (i.e. corals). I like to do modeling of aero- and space-craft, particularly in the mode of overdetailed, never-quite-was things.
