Louise got her first taste of driving when her late father, Robert Cook, bought her a battery powered car on her th birthday which she used to put her pet rabbit in the back of and drive round and round for hours until the battery went flat. Robert may have regretted this gift, after Louise wrote off the conservatory twice, two garden fences and took the front axle off it Louises first rally driving experience was at the age of whilst studying Car Design at Coventry University. Louise was at a car show and saw a competition advertised to encourage more women into Rallying. Louise entered and found herself with a result of nd out of women, with no previous motorsport experience, This gave her the confidence to get her licence and enter her first ever rally thanks to her student loan. Louise, desperate to find a way of rallying came up with an idea, Promotion. The target was to gain fifty pound sponsors to raise ,. Louise managed to get companies on board and some commercial sponsors to get her first season and career underway in . Large sacrifices had to be made though Louise had to sell her much loved Ford StreetKa road car to get to the first round. She also gave up her full time job to commit fully to her chosen sport and campaign. Louise dragged herself around the industrial estates of Kent knocking on businesses doors asking for support day in day out. A year down the line, the year old is still doing this, but Louise has no regrets.
