Mark P. Carthy has been a Director of our Company since August 2002. He is currently a General Partner at Oxford Bioscience Partners. Mr. Carthy joined Oxford Bioscience Partners in October 2000. From 1998 to 2000, he was an advisor to Kummell Investments Limited, a Morningside Group affiliate, on its venture capital portfolio. Prior to Kummell, he was employed as Chief Business Officer of Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:CBST) and Senior Director of Business Development at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:VRTX).
