Mark Heinrich is an Associate Professor and the Associate Director of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF), and a founder of its Computer Systems Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1998 and was a principal designer of the FLASH multiprocessor under his advisor, John Hennessy. Dr. Heinrich also received his MS from Stanford in 1993, and his BSE in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University in 1991. His research interests include parallel computer architecture, high-throughput computing, scalable cache coherence protocols, and active memory and I/O subsystems. Dr. Heinrich was also the co-founder and Chief Architect of Flashbase, Inc.
