Michael Boyajian is an educator and a former human rights and labor judge whose greatest achievement was adjudicating New York State's Executive Order cases which resulted in the unionization of , child care workers for the CSEA and the United Federation of Teachers. He is the author of Green Enchantments and writes frequently for regional magazines and was a columnist for the Poughkeepsie Journal. His letters appear regularly in the New York Times, Metro New York and the Poughkeepsie Journal. Over years ago he left college to become a writer. He could not get published so he returned to Stony Brook University and received his degree and embarked on a career in publishing before entering Brooklyn Law School. In he was sitting on the lawn of his home in the Catskills when he realized how beautiful his surroundings were. He decided to share this beauty with people and started writing essays that were immediately published and resulted in the book Green Enchantments.
