In the last few years, I have finally taken the steps necessary to start my career moving in a fun direction. After several years as a restaurant manager, I finally decided to try something different, and went to Strategy Computers in Bellevue to get some education to help me out with that. After completing their SDET training program, I tested for and received my CompTIA A+ Certification and completed the first test of the Microsoft MCPD series of tests. I obtained an entry level position with Clearwire through Harvey Nash Recruiting, and showed the company that I was worth keeping around on that first six month contract, resulting in a renewal, and an SDET I position, which was the goal. I was hoping to stay with Clearwire for a while, and was looking forward to the end of this contract when I hoped they would offer me a full time position. Unfortunately, there were some budgetary problems, and several contractors, including myself, had their contracts terminated in mid term. I now find myself looking for new employment, and hoping that I will find a position with a good company that I enjoy working for as much as I liked Clearwire. I'd always planned to work for Microsoft some day, so I figure now it's time to go and see what I can find there.
