Michael Horowitz is an analyst in the New York office. He joined Bessemer in July 2010 and focuses on investments in the financial-services and mobile sectors. Michael has previously worked as a partner with Weather Risk Solutions, a family business in Florida, where he has worked to create a marketplace for commodity options based on the location of hurricane landfalls. Michael also worked as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he analyzed technology and business models for early-stage investments. In the summer of 2008 Michael was an analyst in BlackRock’s multi-asset portfolio strategies group. Michael earned a B.S. degree in economics and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. At Penn, Michael was a research assistant to Prof. Jeremy Siegel.
