In 2002, I left my 20 year career in technology sales and sales management to go into full-time ministry. My call to ministry was born out of sharing my personal story of sexual brokenness and redemption with others so they could get the help and hope they needed. After losing my marriage, my family, a business partnership, and countless friends due to a 30 year relationship with pornography that escalated into a full-blown sexual addiction, God has given me a second chance at life and freedom in Christ from a devastating addiction that once cost me nearly everything. Now 13 years into my recovery, I've been blessed to have had an opportunity to give back and literally help millions of people get well. I am humbled at the fact that God would still use me in this way, whether through the 5 books and many articles I've written and had published on the subject, the many men and women I've personally mentored and coached through their recovery, the hundreds of "Porn Nation" outreach events I've produced and church events I've spoken at, or the over 100 million media impressions I've made through appearances in everything from ABC's 20/20, The View and Good Morning America to The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and CNBC. At the end of the day, I've finally come to realize that it's not about me, it's all about helping others to the glory of God. BraveHearts continues to be my heart and passion as the mainstreaming of pornography and the ever increasing use of sexual content in every medium in our society continues to marginalize large numbers of adults and children, sexualizing and objectifying humanity as a whole, and threatening the health and survival of countless marriages and relationships.
