Mike has always loved cartoons. Years of drawing led him to pursue a degree in art at SUNY Geneseo, where he also developed an interest in broadcasting. After graduating, Mike worked for several years at WCMF radio in Rochester. Eventually he discovered that his drawings could not be seen on the radio, no matter how many times he held them up to the microphone. Pressing on, he linked up with Animatus Studio as they were working on their first "Derf the Viking" cartoon. He has since animated various Vikings, Norse gods, drunken clowns, and dancing sumo wrestlers. Mike also collaborates with writerdirectoreffects artist John Vincent of Philrose Productions. The company has several horror features in development, including MIND RIP and LAKE MIDNIGHT. Mike's independent work reflects his love for the horror genre. Recently, he contributed animation to features AMERICAN GRINDHOUSE and NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD REANIMATED. His short films include "H.P. Lovecraft's The Other Gods" and "Jason The Rebirth," a winner of top prizes at ManiaFest and NecroComicon. Mike acts as webmaster to AnimatusStudio.com , PhilroseFilms.com , and several other sites.
