I have been an assistant prosecuting attorney here in Detroit for over 15 years. I am currently the Director of the Conviction Integrity Unit. This Unit is charged with complex issues arising from the closure of the Detroit Police Crime Lab. Previous to this appointment I was a felony trial supervisor managing a trial team and five felony trial courtrooms. I also spent eight years assigned to the vertical prosecution of high profile and complex homicide cases. I have tried over 70 homicide jury trials and used Sanction and PowerPoint in most of them. In addition, I enjoy working with prosecutor's offices around the country regarding the use of Sanction, PowerPoint and general courtroom technology. I am a member of the National College of District Attorney's faculty for their Courtroom Technology class at the National Prosecutor's school. My goals are to continue my public service here in Detroit and to assist other governmental agencies with catching up to 21st century and handling the growing “CSI Effect” phenomenon in the courtroom. I am currently teaching Litigation Technology and Advanced Trial Practice at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School and the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, respectively. http://www.thevisualtrial.com/ read more ...
