I am in the process of earning my Bachelor's in University Studies degree at Texas Tech University with a minor in Personal Finance, Spanish, and Communications. As part of my major I chose to study Business, Exercise and Sports Science, and Psychology. I focused my research on business development and sport management. While enrolled at Texas Tech University, my major and minor courses of study have been developed with the primary objective to gain the necessary expertise, tools, and understanding that will further advance my competitive edge in the sustainable development job market. In that perspective, the range of classes I selected during my studies included notably: Sport Management and Marketing, Visual Communications, Organizational Management, Technical Writing, Micro- and MacroEconomics, Anatomy of Entrepreneurship, Interpersonal Communications, Personal Finances, as well as Contemporary Mathematics. I believe that through my course of study, internship and student-athlete experiences; I possess a strong background in Liberal Arts, which is critical in sustainable development practices. These experiences have provided me with important analytical skills to evaluate environments with objectivity and to compile, process, and integrate information with efficiency. In the short term, my goal is acquire a paid professional position in collegiate athletics, preferably in the surrounding areas of either Washington, DC or Austin, Texas. Further in my career, I aspire to hopefully continue working in college athletics or drift into Sport Marketing, that works with high-profile athletes. After years of experience within athletics/sports, I hope to become an Athletic Director of a Division I program. I value sports and all the things that it teaches, why not make it my career?
