I am an Associate General Counsel for Grady Health System, one of the largest public academic healthcare systems in the United States. I advise, counsel, and educate hospital employees and medical staff regarding the legal aspects of patient care, ethics, human resources, compliance, and regulatory matters. I conduct training and in-services. I draft and review contracts, agreements, and policies. I represent the Health System in litigation in the Georgia state and federal courts, in hearings before Georgia Department of Labor and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and manage outside attorneys in the handling of litigation files. I am currently privileged to serve as the Chair of the In-House Counsel Association of the Georgia Hospital Association and as a board member for the Partnership Against Domestic Violence. I am the co-author of Insurance Bad Faith The Law in Georgia, with James Sadd and Richard Dolder. I am a contributing author of two chapters (Ethical Issues for Insurance Defense Counsel and VendorsVendees) for the American Bar Associations Handbook on Additional Insureds (Michael Menapace, et al., ed., ), I am an active member of both the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of South Carolina.
