Steven D. Berger was appointed as our Senior Vice President, heading up our efforts in developing emerging technologies, effective May 2005. For the two years prior to that time, Dr. Berger served as our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. From August 2002 to May 2003, Dr. Berger was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Berger joined us in 1999, as Vice President and Peabody Site Manager via our merger with Micrion Corporation, a manufacturer of equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. Dr. Berger joined Micrion in 1997 as Vice President. Dr. Berger earned his B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Salford and a Ph.D. degree in Electron Microscopy from the Cavendish Laboratory at Cambridge University. read more ...
