Greetings, My name is Amber Jones and I am a student, social media enthusiast, and for-equitable-profit community leader. I was born, raised, and educated in Baltimore City where I currently reside. In August , I was selected to be a member of the Public Allies Maryland - cohort of future non-profit leaders. My apprenticeship was at Baltimore CASH Campaign where their mission is "creating assets, savings hope." As a result of my experience working at Baltimore CASH Campaign, I have grown significantly in my character and capacity as a leader. This growth has motivated me to return to Towson University where I look forward to completing my baccalaureate degree in Economics Geography Planning. I am fortunate to have been selected as a - Community Fellow for Baltimore City County where I will be helping to build the capacity of local community action agencies for free tax preparation and outreach. Subsequently, I will also be interning at Citizens Planning Housing Association where I will conduct research and coordinate workshops for their EmpowerTrans project as a part of the Opportunity Collaborative's current planning initiative. I look forward to learning from both of these opportunities and leveraging the knowledge I gain to enhance my educational experience.
