Mr. Vandewater was the principal author for ESAs prepared for the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and numerous environmental documents prepared for public and private sector clients. • Manages Department of Transportation projects throughout Ohio that consist of minor roadway improvements to new alignment corridors that require environmental clearance from ODOT and Federal Highways. • Oversees and conducts agency coordination, regulatory reviews, field investigations, reporting, and Federal, state, and local environmental permitting. Typical environmental permits/clearances include: Clean Water Act (CWA) Sections 404, 401; National and State Wild and Scenic Rivers coordination, and FEMA Flood Hazard Area Development. • Designs wetland/stream mitigation and monitoring plans, and negotiates between client and off-site mitigation property as part of Clean Water Act Permitting.
