I have decades of experience turning my hobbies into professions. I make things, and then I use those things to convince people to buy other things. Mostly I make words, and then jam those words together in an effort to inform, educate, entertain, enlighten, and enrage. On occasion I jam pixels together to form hard bits of brain candy, like logos and websites and guys in Yeti costumes. That's a thing. I make cameras do funny things, like capture images of people, places, and things in ways that might be considered artsy or informative or useful for telling someone's story. Mostly I make the world a little better than how I found it, by going out of my way to add value for the people I meet along the way. And while I'm at it, I try to make a few folks laugh. It's kind of a hobby. Above all, I glorify God in all I say and think and do and create and produce. That's also a thing. Makes for a handy bit of eternal prosperity. You should give it a shot.
